Book Review: A Heart's Danger by Colleen Coble

If you've been reading Colleen Coble's Journey of the Heart series, A Heart's Danger is the one you've been waiting for!  When Ben Croftner and Jessica DuBois come up with a plan to keep Sarah away from Rand, the results may not be what either had hoped for.  Both Sarah and Rand end up in terrible danger, and fear for their lives.  However, as they fight to be reunited, each will realize that their feelings may not be as changed as they hoped.
Once again the pace of this book is so fast.  Several days or even weeks worth of time are passed in just a few sentences.  While the characters, plot and dialogue definitely don't measure up to Ms. Coble's more recent works, the story itself still remains enjoyable.  Reading this series feels a bit like a guilty pleasure, since it has so many of the things we love to read, including a scheming fiancé, an ex bent on revenge and a daring rescue.  This book ends with Rand and Sarah finally tying the knot, so I'm curious to see what will happen in the fourth book in the series.

Happy Reading!

I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for this review.  A favorable review was not required and all opinions are my own.  Look for A Heart's Danger at your favorite bookseller on or around May 5.
